Tokaj viticultural region
This very exclusive and simultaneously the smallest viticultural area is located on the southwestern protuberances of the Zemplínske Vrchy mountains, south of the town of Trebišov. It includes 7 villages in the Trebišov county: Bara, Čerhov, Černochov, Malá Tŕňa, Slovenské Nové Mesto, Veľká Tŕňa and Viničky. It is one of the few areas in the world where grapes can be grown to produce natural sweet wines. The area also reaches out into Hungary. In the Slovak part variety wines are produced like Furmint, Lipovina, Muškát žltý, dry wines - Omšové, Tokajské samorodné suché and sweet wines - Tokajské samorodné sladké, Tokajský výber 2 - 6 putňový.
